The requested treats and snacks not only nourished students' bodies but also flourished their understanding of empathy and compassion. Many students come to school without adequate nutrition, affecting their ability to concentrate and learn effectively. \r\nBy providing snacks, we were able to help alleviate this barrier to learning and show students the importance of caring for others.\r\nStudents will took an active role in this project by participating in snack drives and distribution. They learned about the impact of food insecurity and worked collaboratively to address this issue. Through discussions and activities centered around compassion, students explored different perspectives and the importance of supporting one another. Given this it was my wish for my kiddos to participate in hands-on, project-based interactive learning in order to master science concepts. At the time I created our project we were involved in an energy unit of study in would be engaged in a series of hands-on STEAM activities including creating a variety of circuits.\r\n\r\nThe requested materials you so generously funded were needed for creating these circuits as well as labs about potential, kinetic energy and creating models using a multitude of existing materials.
