The requested iPad and case has allowed them to engage in a multitude of activities and using some of the aforementioned apps that are designed to understand money, budgeting, saving and spending, apply basic mathematics skills in finance, and make appropriate financial decisions given many scenarios\r\n\r\nThe ipad has been shared in small groups, where everyone has had the opportunity to work on projects and make financial literacy presentations fostering teamwork and discussion as the kiddos explore financial concepts together. This concept has been a great success in increasing motivation and has provided a boost in students' self-esteem and confidence as they feature one another on a rotating basis. Our goal here was to help students an opportunity to see the world through the eyes of another person and foster a community grounded in compassion, understanding and kindness. This goal is being accomplished week in and week out. Additionally, thank to your help, the kiddos are being provided snacks, these not only nourish students' bodies but also nourish their understanding of empathy and compassion toward one another. Too many of our kiddos come to school hungry or without adequate nutrition affecting their ability to concentrate and learn effectively.
