I wish to upgrade existing technology in our classroom. The requested computer and headphones will give my student an opportunity to engage in educational activities and programs and create multimedia projects. Our school district provides access to a multitude of online educational programs for subjects across the curriculum. We presently have access to outdated computers which are very slow. It would be ideal to have an upgraded computer, one that can handle multitasking without freezing, available to my students. The computer and headphones will provide students with an opportunity to be actively involved in their learning within the classroom setting rather than having to schedule time in the school's computer lab. The requested materials will give students an opportunity to efficiently and effectively work on learning activities in a fun, interactive fashion. It is my hope that my students are able to work in their classroom setting in an organized, structured environment. This would be especially helpful to those who do not have access to technology at home as is the case with students who are presently experiencing homelessness. This will provide them with an opportunity to actively engage in learning activities that will stimulate their curiosity and will quench their thirst for knowledge while staying in the classroom and using updated technology.
