It made our complex slab projects much more successful. Students were so intrigued when I showed them these flexible rulers. They were less afraid to go big. We made some really interesting pieces. We still have a few students work on theirs as they had more confidence to try even more complex designs.\r\n\r\nThe other great thing is that we will have these to use for years to come. So each semester new students will be able to utilize these items and advanced students will have them for utilizing in even more ways.\r\n\r\nThe calipers we just had a little time to work with this year and it was so helpful for the students who gave them a try. These will continue to be so helpful when advanced pottery students are honing their skills on the wheel, working on consistency in throwing sets.\r\n\r\nWe are so appreciative of your support of our programs. It was so fun for the students to experience using the calligraphy dip pens. Experimenting with angles, pressure, and different tip types to control the width of the line was a good challenge for them. The fluidity of the ink was a nice quality with the watercolor paints as opposed to the metallic quality of ball point pens or the soft lines of sharpies.
