My students are from the "poor school" in town. We have a very population on high free and reduced lunch and are even what is considered to be a "dinner school"--where students are given three meals per day, because their family's can't afford to feed them dinner. New books would excite them and show them that someone out there in the world (besides their crazy English teacher) cares about them.
