The foam dice, hula hoops, and Gator soft balls have allowed us to make our activities more engaging and interactive. One special moment was watching the students work together during an obstacle-course activity. They cheered each other on as they moved through the hoops, tossed and caught the soft balls, and completed different movements based on the foam dice. It was wonderful to see how excited they were while learning important physical and social skills.\r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when they first saw the new PE materials! They immediately wanted to touch and explore everything and were especially excited about the colorful foam dice, hula hoops, and soft balls. Their excitement made it clear how much they enjoy having new opportunities to move, play, and learn together. We have made good use of the items in the past few months.\r\n\r\nThe hand sanitizer was essential in helping us minimize the spread of illnesses during this past flu season. When some other classrooms were hit hard, we were lucky to have only had 1 or 2 students out at a time, once in a while, rather than several all at once and in succession.\r\n\r\nThe paper trimmer and laminator with pouches were a huge hit when it came to our Egypt project and Black History Month learning and observance. For both these projects, students created original artwork to show off their learning and thinking. For example, each student made a poster that featured a favorite Martin Luther King Jr. inspirational quote, which were laminated. Sometimes, the hustle and bustle of enthusiastic voices of others all the time can be very distracting. When students are able to move to a more secluded part of the classroom, their concentration increases as their distractions decrease. \r\n\r\nOther times, students want to work collaboratively through discussion. These floor seats allow students to gather in a small circle to share their thoughts and ideas.
