As the school nurse, I often see how something as small as a spill, accident, or torn pair of pants can quickly turn into a stressful moment for a child, let alone a toileting accident. Thanks to your generosity, I now have a well-stocked supply of clean underwear, socks, and pants in a range of sizes ready for any situation. Instead of feeling embarrassed or having to wait for a change of clothes, students can return to class quickly, comfortable and confident—ready to focus on learning again.\r\n\r\nThe students' reactions were so genuine and touching. One little one, after being given a fresh pair of underwear and pants, started crying afterwards and looked up saying, \"Thank you for helping me. I feel better now even though I have tears.\" Those moments remind me just how much dignity and comfort matter, especially for our youngest learners. Having these supplies on hand has also allowed me to talk with classes about kindness, empathy, and taking care of one another when unexpected things happen. It's helped normalize that everyone needs a little help sometimes—and that's okay.","fullyFundedDate":1753294882801,"projectUrl":"project/a-fresh-start-for-our-students/9363135/","projectTitle":"A Fresh Start for Our Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nurse Parker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6360318_orig.jpg?crop=514,514,x0,y169&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1694126500099","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6360318"},{"teacherId":6360318,"projectId":9363351,"letterContent":"When the new medical tools arrived, I was thrilled to finally have dependable equipment to support our students' health needs. I plan to use the equipment in small group sessions to teach about chronic conditions like asthma, empowering students with knowledge about their own well-being. Your donation allows me to transition between my desk and my u-table where I work more closely with students, with ease. They may not necessarily appreciate that in the moment, but they are proud when their work is finished.\r\n\r\nThe time working at the u-table is also when I get to know my students better.
