Among the items gifted were colorful playdough sets, which have been perfect for hands-on activities that stimulate creativity and fine motor skills. These tactile materials allow the children to explore greating groups, working out multiplication problems while having fun, making abstract concepts more tangible and engaging for young learners.\r\n\r\nIn addition to the playdough, we received multiplication pop-it boards to support math instruction. These boards serve as an interactive tool to help students practice and memorize their multiplication tables, which is a crucial skill at this stage of their third grade math education. The hands-on nature of these boards encourages active participation and makes learning math facts less intimidating, helping to build confidence in their abilities.\r\n\r\nTo keep the classroom organized and efficient, whiteboard markers and erasers were also included. These supplies are essential for daily lessons, enabling teachers to clearly present information and for students to actively engage during class exercises. The availability of fresh markers and erasers fosters an environment conducive to focused learning and collaboration. Overall, these donated supplies have brought both excitement and practical benefits to our third-grade classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1753293321308,"projectUrl":"project/new-year-fresh-supplies/9436195/","projectTitle":"New Year, Fresh Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Clark","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9127604_orig.png?crop=398,398,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1690760248758","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9127604"},{"teacherId":983266,"projectId":9312860,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our DonorsChoose project! Because of your generosity, our students have been able to extend learning beyond the classroom walls and into our garden spaces. These areas will be more than just a place to grow plants—they will become outdoor classrooms where students explore ecosystems, study plant life cycles, and observe animals in their natural habitats. Even more importantly, they learn patience, empathy, and sustainability as they care for these plants and watch them flourish.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first realized we would be moving some of our native pollinator plants to the main entrance of our school, they were thrilled. They immediately began making plans for how to keep the plants healthy and beautiful throughout the hot summer months. Thanks to the supplies you provided, they now have the tools needed to water and care for these transplants, ensuring that both the plants and pollinators thrive. Seeing their excitement as they take on the responsibility of nurturing these spaces has been incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nOur next steps include using the new space as a hands-on learning lab where students can observe the interdependence of plants and pollinators. This project will provide daily opportunities for them to connect science lessons with the world around them and to see how their efforts directly benefit the environment. Thank you again for making this possible—you are helping us grow not only plants, but also lifelong learners and caretakers of our world.","fullyFundedDate":1746707558283,"projectUrl":"project/sprinklers-for-pollinators/9312860/","projectTitle":"Sprinklers for Pollinators","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Katz STEM","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp983266_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1455824645968","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-katz-stem"},{"teacherId":6500758,"projectId":9414930,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous contributions to our classroom! The supply caddies and Tuff trays that I received have been used literally everyday since they have arrived. \r\n I never realized how much I needed the supply caddies until I got them and started using them. Previously, I had used cups to store the scissors, glue, pencils, and erasers that students need in class. They were constantly falling over, spilling out, and rolling onto the floor. Now the caddies keep all supplies organized and easy to distribute. \r\n The Tuff trays have been used for a large variety of things and defiantly made transitions between classes and clean up much easier. Recently, we did a lesson on birds. Students used straws, Dixie cups, dried macaroni noodles, and beans to simulate how different beaks are best for picking food from rocks. In previous years I had to tape off sections of the carpet and have students dump these materials on the carpet and would find beans and noodles all over the room for days. This year I had students do the activity in the tuff trays and it worked perfectly and was so much easier to clean up after the activity was over.\r\n I really appreciate your donation to this project.
