My goal in my classroom is to provide my students with multiple resources for quality literature. Scholastic News Magazines do a great job of providing kid-friendly, fresh information. It is important that I am providing my students with many different forms of literature so that I can continue to feed their passion for reading and learning. By having the Scholastic News Magazines in my classroom, I hope to continue to build on my students' vocabulary, background knowledge, and making real-world connections. In my second grade classroom, I will use Scholastic News Magazines to support the science and social studies curriculum. I also plan to use them in my Daily 5 playlists. My students already have a passion for reading and learning; with this project, we are only helping students grow even more!
