These books have sparked a strong desire to read, encouraging students to explore more titles. The engaging stories captivate their attention, helping foster a love for reading that goes beyond the classroom.\r\n\r\nAdditionally, having their own copies allows students to follow along at their own pace. Many students take the time to reread sections, which deepens their understanding of the plot and characters. This experience gives them a true sense of what it's like to read chapter books, and they are able to fully appreciate the joy and satisfaction that comes from progressing through a story on their own.","fullyFundedDate":1758812679073,"projectUrl":"project/help-our-students-fall-in-love-with-read/9679278/","projectTitle":"Help Our Students Fall in Love with Reading!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Lucero","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5687027_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1757554475984","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5687027"},{"teacherId":8834883,"projectId":9873795,"letterContent":"Because of your generosity, every one of my students now has their own set of place value manipulatives. The day we passed them out, you would have thought it was a holiday. Students immediately started building numbers at their desks, comparing who could show the largest number, and proudly explaining their thinking. One moment that stood out was during a regrouping lesson. Instead of waiting to share, every child was able to physically trade ten ones for a ten rod at the exact same time. You could almost see the light bulbs turn on across the room.\r\n\r\nHaving a full class set has completely changed the flow of our math block. Students are more focused because they are not waiting for a partner or sharing materials. They are building, breaking apart, and modeling numbers independently, which has strengthened their understanding of place value and multi-digit addition and subtraction. I am able to move more fluidly between whole group instruction and independent practice because everyone has what they need right in front of them.\r\n\r\nNext, we are using these tools to deepen our understanding of regrouping and begin laying the foundation for multiplication through arrays and equal groups. Your donation did more than provide supplies. It created access, confidence, and hands-on learning for every child in our classroom. Thank you for investing in my students and believing in their potential.","fullyFundedDate":1762449459834,"projectUrl":"project/a-set-for-every-student-expanding-our-h/9873795/","projectTitle":"A Set for Every Student: Expanding Our Hands-On Math Tools","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Albin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8834883_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y223&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723767340141","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msalbin1"},{"teacherId":8834883,"projectId":9422343,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our flexible seating project.
