I teach 5th grade at Rio Vista School in Fillmore, California, a small agricultural community in Ventura County. Our school serves a predominantly low-income population, and many of my students face challenges that can make learning more difficult. Despite these obstacles, my students are curious, energetic, creative, and eager to learn. Our classroom is a place where I strive to make every student feel valued, supported, and capable of success. I work to provide engaging, hands-on learning experiences that build confidence, encourage collaboration, and help students discover their strengths. With limited resources and a diverse range of academic needs, donations make a meaningful difference by giving my students access to materials and experiences that might otherwise be unavailable to them.
