Having new activities to explore gives my students something fun to look forward to on those days when we cannot get outside to play.\r\n\r\nI also use these new activities as incentives for our Friday Preferred Activity Time (PAT). Throughout the week, students earn minutes toward this special time at the end of the day by following classroom rules, making positive choices, and completing their work. Each week, I introduce one new activity, and the students can hardly wait to see what is coming next! These new materials have become a wonderful motivator and give the children something exciting to work toward.\r\n\r\nMy class gets so excited every time I open a new box! Each delivery brings a sense of anticipation as they wonder what new games, toys, or puzzles we have received. Seeing their excitement and curiosity makes each new surprise so special.\r\n\r\nYour donation provides much more than toys and games. It gives my students opportunities to build friendships, practice problem-solving skills, learn to work together, and experience the joy of play. It also helps create positive classroom experiences and encourages students to work hard and make good choices.\r\n\r\nThank you for investing in my students and helping make our classroom an even more fun, engaging, and exciting place to learn! Everyone got to try out the different seating options and we had great conversations about finding tools that are a right fit for each student. \r\n As we started this school year, I've slowly introduced the different tools that students can use to help keep their bodies and brains engaged in learning. These kids are just as excited as last year's, and it's great to see them learning more about their own bodies and how to help themselves be more focused learners. We have been using the snacks during busy learning days, especially when students are working on longer assignments, group activities, and classroom projects.\r\n\r\nOne of the best moments has been seeing how appreciative the students are when it is snack time. It's become the heart of our classroom — a place where we gather each morning for morning meetings, share stories during read-aloud time, and work together in small groups. Having a cozy, defined space has helped students feel more connected and focused during lessons.\r\n\r\nWhen the rug arrived, the excitement was contagious! The students immediately wanted to sit on it and said things like, \"It's so soft!\" and \"Now we have a real meeting spot!\" (Before our rug arrived, students were sitting on the chilly floor.) It was amazing to see how something as simple as a rug could transform the room to feel more welcoming and complete.\r\n\r\nNow that our rug has created a warm and inviting space, we're working toward adding more flexible seating options. The next goal is to give students even more choice in how and where they learn — whether that's curling up with a book, collaborating on a project, or finding a quiet corner to think. These changes are helping our classroom become a place where every student can feel comfortable, focused, and inspired.","fullyFundedDate":1730168605326,"projectUrl":"project/rug-for-first-grade-classroom/8872863/","projectTitle":"Rug for First Grade Classroom","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Green","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9000718_orig.jpg?crop=172,172,x0,y16&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1728644617408","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-green14"},{"teacherId":10163880,"projectId":9563456,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your donations to our classroom.
