My students come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Many enter Kindergarten with little or no preschool and have very few experiences with books or print. In addition, 70% of our population receives free or reduced lunch and many student are English Language Learners. My students are curious and full of wonder. They want to learn about the world. They simply need more opportunities! They need more books to read!
