Just last week, during our unit on animals, a group of children listened to \"The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear.\" When the bear roared on the CD, their eyes widened in mock fear, and they giggled with delight. It was a beautiful moment of shared experience and imaginative play, all thanks to these engaging resources.\r\n\r\nThe initial reaction to the books with CDs was one of pure excitement and curiosity. As I unpacked the box, the vibrant covers and the promise of a story being read aloud captivated them. They were fascinated by the idea of listening to a book independently. There was a rush to be the first to try them out! The independence the listening center provides has also been a huge benefit. It has helped on a daily basis to have students excited to practice their phonics and sight words on their own personal board.
