The excitement and energy during this activity have been incredible to see!\r\n\r\nWe are already noticing students becoming quicker at recognizing words and more eager to participate in reading activities. Your generosity in funding the Strawbees STEAM kit has made a huge difference in my classroom and with our after school students. It's truly helped us transform abstract concepts into hands-on, engaging experiences. My students and I are using the Strawbees kit to explore the fundamentals of engineering, design, and physics. Our first project was using Strawbees to construct 3D shapes and identify characteristics of each shape with my afterschool students. \r\n\r\nWhen the boxes of Strawbees first arrived, the initial reaction was a mixture of curiosity and slight confusion. The students were used to traditional building blocks, not flexible straws and brightly colored connectors.
