With the funding you provided, it was possible for students to not only build their own ecosystems, but also to monitor its quality for living things over several months! Students planted seeds and were able to compare the success of their plants relative to soil productivity and health. Students also filtered water into an aquatic chamber, where they grew fish, which depend upon water quality. In particular, students were able to monitor water pH and Dissolved Oxygen, and determine the levels needed for fish to be able to survive and thrive. \r\n\r\nHaving the opportunity to build and monitor their own ecosystems first hand was compelling and fun for students, as they gained key concepts and skills that are essential for their success! \r\n\r\nI am deeply grateful for your help and support of these well-deserving students!","fullyFundedDate":1757099505391,"projectUrl":"project/students-build-an-ecosystem-in-a-bottle/9370260/","projectTitle":"Students Build an Ecosystem in a Bottle!","teacherDisplayName":"Dr. Brand","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6851413_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1570993299037","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/drbrandscience"},{"teacherId":10277423,"projectId":9755360,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity and support.
