Eyes widened, hands shot up, and little voices whispered, \"Is that for us?\" It was one of those moments that reminded me why teaching is such a gift: the pure joy of children knowing that people they've never met believe in them.\r\n\r\nSince then, these resources have become the heart of our daily learning. Just last week, we launched a project where students used the new math manipulatives and literacy tools during our centers. A quiet student who usually hesitates to participate surprised us all by eagerly explaining how she solved a problem. Her classmates clapped for her, and she beamed with confidence. That moment of pride was only possible because of the tools you gave us.\r\n\r\nThe excitement hasn't slowed down. Each day, my students ask, \"What are we doing with our new stuff today?\" Their curiosity and enthusiasm have grown right alongside their skills. Your gift didn't just provide materials, it created opportunities for teamwork, creativity, and the kind of hands-on learning that makes knowledge stick.\r\n\r\nOne of the most meaningful additions has been our new calm corner. With the bean bag, cozy pillowcases, and fresh stack of books, students now have a safe space to take a break, reset, and return to learning with a clear mind. I've already seen children curl up with a book in the bean bag, taking deep breaths and self-regulating before coming back to join the group. For many of my kindergartners, learning how to manage big emotions is just as important as academics, and this space has quickly become a favorite part of our classroom routine. I've also hung a classroom tree to turn our space into to a magical place, using the rainforest decor you so generously provided.\r\n\r\nThank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of our classroom. You've not only given us resources, you've given my students a message they'll carry with them: that they are worthy of support, their learning matters, and people believe in their potential.","fullyFundedDate":1746786243215,"projectUrl":"project/a-classroom-that-feels-like-home/9315101/","projectTitle":"A Classroom That Feels Like Home","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wessner","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10012560_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746296083632","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10012560"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_63819","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":465,"numTeachers":30,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":4,"percentBlack":12,"percentWhite":30,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":39,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":67.6,"schoolId":63819,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Richard H Bryan Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Richard H Bryan Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/nevada/clark-county-school-district/richard-h-bryan-elementary-school/63819"}
