This school year, we will be super focused on helping kids grow, learn, and fill in any missing gaps from a year of virtual learning. Writing will be a key focus for our grade level. Writing in 4th grade supports the growth of essential critical thinking and problem solving skills. Through writing, we will be able to develop other essential skills needed not only for 4th grade, but for the rest of our 4th grader's lives. Using the materials in this grand, we will be able to model great writing skills on the publishing of our original narratives. The materials will help them create original works that can be shared for time to come! Also, the high interest books with excellent vocabulary are critical to help our students grow as readers! Readers are leaders is so much more than a catchy phrase. It is a necessity for our future. With our crazy last year, many students need to get back into the habit of reading! That's where these good books come in! Providing high interest books at their level is critical to create a literate and fluent classroom!
