We are using the donated snacks, supplies, and fun materials as meaningful rewards for positive choices: showing respect, responsibility, and perseverance. One moment that really stood out was during a long testing week: several students chose to \"spend\" their points on healthy snack bars so they could stay focused and energized, proudly saying they had earned them through hard work and good choices. The pens, markers, and mini staplers have also been incredibly popular, especially with students who love creating colorful notes, organizing their work, or personalizing class projects.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the new materials, their reactions were priceless! They had lots of excitement, smiles, and comments like, \"This store just got even better!\" For many of my students, especially those from low-income households, having access to snacks and quality school supplies at school makes a real difference. It helped them feel seen, supported, and proud of their efforts.\r\n\r\nNext, we'll continue using these resources to reinforce positive behavior and engagement as students work through collaborative projects, writing assignments, and SEL lessons focused on goal-setting and self-regulation. Students are already saving their points with intention, planning ahead for rewards, and taking ownership of their behavior in a way that builds confidence and community. Thanks to you, our classroom feels more encouraging, equitable, and joyful. Your support is making a lasting impact on all 150 of my students. 💛","fullyFundedDate":1763997128939,"projectUrl":"project/motivation-station-a-classroom-store-th/9636407/","projectTitle":"Motivation Station: A Classroom Store That Works","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Oronia-Smith","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2311351_orig.jpg?crop=720,720,x0,y100&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1596490926376","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2311351"},{"teacherId":4658633,"projectId":9487045,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support! These materials allowed students to creatively demonstrate their understanding of historical events, people, and themes by combining visuals, symbolism, and written analysis.\r\n\r\nThe project helped students deepen their comprehension, make meaningful connections to the content, and express their learning in ways that go beyond traditional worksheets or tests. Some of the students assisted in the building of the stool, which was really impactful. The students have been doing a great job at taking turns sitting on the stool, and all of them have raved about how comfortable it is. I have noticed a big difference in the way they hold their basses, which is the best part.\r\n My next steps for this project is to get 3 more of the stools so all my students can have access at the same time. I'd also like to find an easier way to transport them so we will be able to bring the stools to festivals we attend.\r\n Again, I can't thank you enough for your generosity and for believing in equity and access for all, regardless of size.","fullyFundedDate":1750256538838,"projectUrl":"project/tall-or-small-proper-bass-posture-for-a/9359730/","projectTitle":"Tall or Small, Proper Bass Posture for All!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Edmondson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8127426_orig.jpg?crop=750,750,x0,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1747324659441","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8127426"},{"teacherId":4658633,"projectId":9092071,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude for your generous donation to our classroom. Thanks to your kindness, my 8th grade students have been absolutely thrilled to receive an incredible collection of classroom supplies—folders, markers, crayons, printer paper, and more—that have already made a meaningful impact on their learning experience.\r\n\r\nThese resources have empowered my students to become what we now lovingly call artistic historians. Whether they are creating one-pager reports, designing vibrant American Revolution propaganda posters, or engaging in colorful note-taking strategies, my students are having a great time using their supplies to enrich and express their historical learning through colorful and creative outlets. The materials have allowed them to engage with content in a way that truly resonates with their learning styles—especially for those who are visual learners with imaginative minds.\r\n\r\nThe added ability to organize their work with folders and creatively bring their ideas to life using markers, crayons, and vivid hand-drawn elements has sparked both excitement and pride in their learning. I've noticed more engagement, deeper understanding, and a greater willingness to dive into historical topics when students can demonstrate their knowledge through media that fits their unique strengths.\r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting my artistic historians.
