There's nothing better than seeing my students excited about a brand new influx of books for our classroom library. We work so hard to build a love of learning and reading, and it's really hard to get kids excited to read tattered old books. \r\n\r\nWhen we got the new books, we spread them out on the rug and it was so fun to see the giant smiles and hear the squeals of excitement. The next sound we heard was silence as the kids happily dove into their books and started reading. \r\n\r\nOne of the special things about this grant is the inclusion of book series, which are especially perfect for 2nd grade readers. They love to find a book they're excited about and then find out that the book is part of a series and there's even more fun to be had!\r\n\r\nThanks so much again for your donation to our classroom. It's nice to see how at ease they look when sitting on the chairs and really helps to bring the homey vibe to our classroom. \r\n\r\nThe standing table has also been a wonderful addition to our working options, as some kids really prefer to stand while they do their work at times. Not only did it open up a new option for a way to do work (standing vs sitting), but because the table is on wheels, we were able to put it in a space that couldn't previously be used for a table. Because of this, our whole class has been able to spread out a bit more during work times, which is really helpful for individual focus. \r\n\r\nThank you again for your donation to our classroom.
