Classrooms are no longer straight row-whole group instruction. They are mini-lessons, small groups, inquiry projects, and student centered. This means that one teacher in the front of the room and one projector are all you see if a classroom. Many times I am pulling an individual or small group of students are learning in another part of the classroom or in the hallway. When I do this I have to leave the technology part of my lessons in the class. Having a portable projector will allow the students to take their learning anywhere. They will have videos, class notes, math problems modeled for them, images, and they can even use the document camera I have to project their work.
