I can sharpen pencils while working on other tasks. \r\n\r\nThe whiteboard markers do not leave streaks on my whiteboard causing the board to be cleaned daily. I am humbled by your generosity and your loving hearts to donate to my sweet class of readers!\r\n\r\nThis bookshelf houses over 200 chapter books! It displays the books in such a way that students can see the titles more clearly and I have grouped the books by reading level with color coding. \r\n\r\nThe day the big box arrived was so fun! A few students had the job of pushing the cart with the big box. When we got back to class there was a big reveal of all the pieces. Over Spring Break I built the shelf and when the students returned, they were SO excited! What a surprise! \r\n\r\nI've enjoyed watching them turn the bookshelf to look for the book they want to read. They think it's fun to \"go shopping\" on the new bookshelf! The students loved dressing up in the pioneer costumes and pretending like they were children in the 1800's. They churned butter, made ice-cream, washed clothes, pumped water, played pioneer games, and even sat in an old schoolhouse for a lesson. They also got eggs from the chickens. \r\n\r\nThey also wore the costumes for their pioneer journal covers. Inside they wrote various entries about life back then and the hardships they faced heading West.
