The moment the students saw the new games and activities, their excitement filled the gym and playground. There were huge smiles, cheers, and nonstop questions about when they would get to play Basket Pong, Giant Skee-Ball, and the Jumbo Ostrich Egg relays. Many of my students had never experienced games like these before, and it immediately made them feel special, included, and excited to participate.\r\n\r\nSince receiving these materials, we have been using them to build teamwork, sportsmanship, coordination, and confidence during our physical education activities and Field Day preparations. One of my favorite moments was watching a group of students encourage a classmate who was nervous about participating in the relay games. By the end of the activity, that student was laughing, fully involved, and celebrating with teammates. These games have created opportunities for students to connect, support one another, and enjoy being active together in a positive environment.\r\n\r\nThe fun doesn't stop with Field Day! We plan to continue using these activities throughout the school year during PE stations, team-building events, and school celebrations. After decorating their pots, students eagerly filled them with soil and planted seeds, beginning their journey of caring for and observing their flowers grow.\r\n\r\nOne of the most special moments was watching the students proudly show off their uniquely decorated pots while carefully planting their seeds. The classroom was filled with excitement, curiosity, and endless questions about how plants grow. Students were thrilled to get their hands dirty and take responsibility for watering and caring for their plants each day. Seeing the first tiny sprouts appear brought so much excitement and wonder to our young learners!\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, students could hardly wait to begin. Many students had never experienced mini golf before, so introducing this activity in a fun, supportive environment immediately sparked enthusiasm and engagement. The mats have allowed students of all physical abilities and skill levels to actively participate while building confidence, coordination, and teamwork skills.\r\n\r\nWe are using the mats in station-based lessons where students rotate through different mini golf challenges focused on balance, hand-eye coordination, focus, and motor control. One of the most rewarding moments was watching students encourage one another after successful putts and celebrate each other's accomplishments with positive sportsmanship. The structured setup keeps students active with very little waiting time, which has helped improve participation, focus, and classroom transitions. The lightweight, portable design also allows us to quickly reset the gym between classes while maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.\r\n\r\nThese resources have helped transform our PE lessons into engaging experiences that support students both physically and socially-emotionally. One powerful moment was watching them carefully select items for each package, making sure every family would feel cared for. As they wrote their handwritten notes, many chose words like \"You are not alone\" and \"We are thinking of you,\" showing a genuine understanding of empathy and kindness beyond their years.\r\nWe used the supplies to work collaboratively, organizing toiletries, household essentials, and comfort items into meaningful care packages. Students took pride in every step, from sorting materials to decorating and writing messages. Their initial excitement quickly grew into a sense of purpose. Some students who are usually quiet during class discussions opened up in meaningful ways, sharing their thoughts about helping others and asking thoughtful questions about how families rebuild after such a loss.\r\nMoving forward, students will continue reflecting on this experience through writing and class discussions, connecting it to broader lessons about community, empathy, and responsibility.
