I am a music teacher in Queens, N.Y. for Kindergarten to third grade students. Through a non-profit organization called "Music and the Brain," our students have been able to participate in learning the keyboard. This neuroscience-based program was designed to help students develop critical thinking, and tune their fine motor skills. Our students have become enticed by the instrument and the appealing songs provided by the program. It has been a great joy of mine to watch students, as young as five years old, immerse themselves in the music and learn the discipline of practicing an instrument.
