It was a powerful reminder of how something as simple as a snack can fuel both body and spirit.\r\n\r\nThe girls were thrilled! Their faces lit up when they saw the variety of healthy snacks waiting for them. It made them feel seen and supported, knowing that someone cared enough to contribute to their success. For many, it was a boost of motivation that helped them push through the more challenging parts of training.\r\n\r\nNow that the 5K is behind them, the girls are reflecting on their growth—physically, emotionally, and socially. We're working on a journaling project where each student writes about their experience, what they learned about perseverance, and how they plan to carry those lessons forward. Reading in our classroom looks like a vibrant, interactive experience! Students sit together during small group instruction. We read aloud, we whisper-read to ourselves, we partner-read, and everywhere you look, you see children engaged, smiling, and proud of their progress.
