Do you remember the thrill of getting Scholastic Magazines each week? Scholastic news and Storyworks both make learning feel easy, and are aligned to the standards that students must learn at each grade level. Fourth graders are at the age where they are waking up to the world around them. My students are invigorated when reading and having discussions about what is going on in the world, and in our past. This year, our students will learn about the American Revolution, slavery, Native Americans in New York, and the Holocaust. We will use these magazines as a springboard into discussing the world around us.
