They notice differences in color, fins, and how each fish swims. This helps them practice observing and describing similarities and differences. Caring for the fish has become a meaningful part of our daily routine—and a highlight of the day.\r\n\r\nOne of our favorite moments is watching the fish recognize our \"Pet Helper.\" As soon as she approaches the tank to feed them, they swim right to the glass as if greeting an old friend. This simple interaction has taught our students about responsibility, empathy, and the joy of nurturing living things.\r\n\r\nWe have already harvested 3 sets of pea shoots from the garden and discuss how the shoots can be used in salads.
