This fall, I will open the doors to my very first second-grade classroom after serving as my school's Civics teacher and beginning my journey here as a student teacher. I am excited to welcome 32 young learners, including multilingual learners with diverse academic and language needs. My goal is to create a classroom where students feel welcomed, organized, and ready to learn from day one. I envision students confidently accessing materials from their classroom mailboxes, participating in lessons with dry-erase boards and number lines, and using visual supports that make learning engaging and accessible. These resources will help establish strong routines, foster independence, and create an environment where every child can build confidence, develop academic skills, and thrive throughout the school year.
