My students were so excited when they first saw all of the new materials. They immediately noticed the different shades and colors of paper and even wanted to help organize everything on the shelves by color. Their excitement and curiosity made the classroom feel even more welcoming and creative.\r\n\r\nWe have been using the kinetic sand in many ways to support emergent writing skills. Students enjoy tracing letters in the sand and exploring the different textures while learning. We have also used it for fun scavenger hunts by hiding letters inside and having students find them and identify the letter sounds. The paper has become a daily part of our classroom as well. Students use it for ripping and creating art collages, making signs, practicing writing, and displaying their artwork around the room. One special moment that stood out was when the students began pretending to play \"school\" and asked for paper so they could create signs and post their own work just like their teachers do.\r\n\r\nAs we continue learning, our next steps are to have students practice tracing and writing their full names in the kinetic sand to strengthen their fine motor and writing skills. We are also excited to begin creating graduation artwork that will be displayed for families. Your kindness has truly made a difference in our classroom and has helped provide meaningful, hands-on learning experiences for our students each day.","fullyFundedDate":1776446102634,"projectUrl":"project/we-will-we-will-build-fine-motor-skill/9953263/","projectTitle":"We Will, We Will… Build Fine Motor Skills!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Levene","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6649560_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1598932411537","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6649560"},{"teacherId":3036391,"projectId":10251037,"letterContent":"Thank you for giving my students new sensory materials. But we are not just teachers, we are also moms, and so we think about the little things that have an impact on not just the academic development of our students, but also their physical, mental, and emotional needs.
