Prospect Park Zoo is an incredible place to connect third graders with nature and wildlife up-close and personal. My students love animals and are eager to learn about foxes, lizards, sea lions and more. Students will have an opportunity to feed a very friendly alpaca and sheep at the farm, watch an interactive sea lion show and learn about animal lifestyles. The field trip connects to our nonfiction research unit that supports children's curiosity and engagement in a world. Students will build their research and collaboration skills by reading and researching about different animals. Our trip will make a great impact on young children. This project will cover the cost of our trip.
