This has been quite a year! Your donation made it possible for our classroom environment to light up. \r\nOur students are using the rug during read alouds and whole group instruction at times. Little ones need to move often, so having a nice, new, colorful rug is exciting for them! It makes everything a little more special. \r\n\r\nThe students have made good use of the desktop organizers. They help students to keep information about themselves organized. For example, we take i-Ready Diagnostic tests in Reading and Math. Studens have data sheets to keep track of each Diagnostic score, set goals for the next Diagnostic, and record the new scores.\r\n\r\nThese data sheets are only part of what is kept in the binders. Students also keep data regarding their own learning. They have a place to share information about themselves and their successes. The binders are much easier to use than prong folders for the insertion of loose-leaf paper packs. They also allow for easy insertion of updated pages we might include after the original packet is inserted. Believe me, 4th graders can really struggle with 3-prong folders! So these are definitely helpful. \r\nThe binders are thinner than others I've used in the past, so they fit better into the students' desks.","fullyFundedDate":1725565245486,"projectUrl":"project/help-young-leaders/8710815/","projectTitle":"Help Young Leaders","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Graf","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9711402"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_29127","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":596,"numTeachers":39,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":7,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":91,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 8","studentTeacherRatio":"15.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":75.5,"schoolId":29127,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Potrero Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Potrero Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/el-monte-city-school-district/potrero-elementary-school/29127"}
