These materials will provide students the opportunity to have a safe space in the classroom to work on their writing. Many students in my class are nervous of writing when they are sitting close to their peers. Due to limited classroom space students sit close together. The materials will allow students to work toward meeting their writing goals. The timer will be used to display how much time they have to complete their writing. My students need the help of a timer in order to know how much time they have to complete a task. Students will set up the boards on their desks during writing time to have a writing environment where they feel comfortable expressing themselves. Having the privacy when writing will let students focus on their writing without feeling that they have to compete with their classmates. Students will have a quiet space to work on their writing.
