Math workshop has come alive as students inquisitively engage with the math materials. I watch as exploring, developing and mastering problem solving strategies unfolds as the class works with snap cubes, Judy clocks, magna tiles, base ten blocks, and money. The classroom rug has created a shared space to discuss ideas and gather together.\r\nWhen the boxes arrived, the students were excited and very curious to see what they contained. There were cheers of happiness when the magna tiles were unpacked and, working in collaborative small groups, the class created many interesting structures! The snap cubes, Judy clocks and \"money bags\" were also received with excitement as the children enjoyed free exploration of the new math tools.
