They love all the new instruments and ask to use them every week. I have been using the percussion instruments with the students to encourage rhythm practice and ensemble work. I have seen them begin listening to each other more as they play different songs, and the different sounds each instrument makes gives variety and creates an interest in the activity we do.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the boomwhackers, they were so excited to use them. There were a couple kids who had already been asking me if I could get them for our classroom, and once they saw that we could finally use them they were so excited. I was hoping to get some drums for my students, so that will be my next goal. I'm hoping to give my students as many experiences with instruments as I can.
