It will be the first time many of them will get to be like \"real scientists,\" and I hope the take the role very seriously.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, the excitement was huge. Students crowded around the boxes, pointing out tools they recognized and asking questions about everything they didn't. Several of them said, \"We get to use all of this?\" with wide eyes and huge smiles. Their curiosity and enthusiasm filled the room.\r\n\r\nWe'll be using these materials to build mini‑ecosystems in jars. Students will layer soil, gravel, and sand, then observe how water moves through each material. This will lead into lessons on filtration, erosion, and environmental science.
