Not only do our seven classes of young 5's, kindergarten, and first-grade students use them during snack time, but they've also become a favorite spot for resting and relaxing during morning and afternoon recess. \r\n\r\nJust this morning, two large pieces of paper were spread over two of the tables so students could paint and make some art during a class assignment. The tables are definitely a huge addition to our learning in so many ways!\r\n\r\nAlthough we received funding for the tables during the winter, we waited for the spring weather and for our amazing school facilities team to assemble them. When the tables were finally in place, students were thrilled when they first saw them. They made comments such as \"Now, we have more room\" or \"I can talk to my friends easier\" or \"There are a lot of us that can fit around a table now.\" \r\n\r\nWe are so fortunate to have a supportive community that appreciates the social emotional and academic needs of our students.
