We used many of the resources to enhance our storytelling myth unit. \r\n\r\nWe began the unit with an introduction to mythology and what stories are told around the world. Moreover, students learned how mythology is important because it provides an understanding of a culture's values, beliefs, and history. The stories can explain natural phenomena, morals, and major life events.\r\n\r\nSharing myths creates a sense of belonging and shared heritage. Creating myths in the classroom also creates a sense of belonging for the students. \r\n\r\nIn small groups, the students have been tasked with writing an original myth, creating masks to help tell the story, and then performing the piece. The care that they have taken in creating their masks is evident. While we will not perform these until next week, I wanted to share photos of the work in process.","fullyFundedDate":1727462756703,"projectUrl":"project/theatre-where-stories-come-alive-let-u/8575799/","projectTitle":"Theatre; Where Stories Come Alive!
