Trash cans serve as a 'life-sized' athletic cones, creating a stimulating environment for athletic training, physical education classes, and learning through 'games'. We use trash cans in many different ways, placing them upside down, and they naturally become landmarks, obstacles, boundaries, goals, or targets, etc. The mobility of the cans provide for easy and fast adaptation to the games. Easy storage and durability, the large cans also provide for a large visual stimulus when playing full field games. Lastly, while we will use them on the football field, the cross-application of the trash cans helps all students - as the cans will be used in the regular physical education classroom as well - benefitting all 1300 students at the school!
