They were chosen based on student request so I knew that they would get read and they are. I have used the clear bins to organize and display the books in ways that are engaging. The classes that requested these books have been visiting regularly and when they come they know right where to go.\r\n\r\nA secondary benefit of this new section emerged with our childcare program that provides day care for teen parents. The children have started visiting weekly and now their parents know they can check out books as well. The children are learning to love libraries and starting early in the culture of reading. Also - the high school students have asked to make a program where they read to the kids. Full circle! \r\n\r\nI will include a picture of the shelves. I am sorry I do not know more about the specific lessons but the teacher a great lesson writer so I know they were well used.\r\n\r\nI can report that students told me they loved the book. They were moved by the story line and loved the characters.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for supporting us in this way.
