Thank you to our generous donors for helping provide the supplies my students need to succeed!\r\n\r\nIn Biology, we use Science Interactive Notebooks every day to organize our learning and create resources students can use throughout the school year. Students take notes, create diagrams and models, record vocabulary, complete hands-on activities, and reflect on their learning. With these new supplies, students can use colored pencils to illustrate cell structures, label diagrams, and visually represent complex concepts. Construction paper and tape help them create interactive foldables, models, and engaging notebook activities, while pencils and erasers give them the everyday tools they need to complete assignments and revise their work. My students benefit from having multiple ways to engage with the material, especially when visual and hands-on learning opportunities help make challenging concepts easier to understand.\r\n\r\nThese resources will help transform students' notebooks from simple collections of notes into personalized learning tools they can be proud of. As we continue exploring Biology concepts such as cell structures, cellular processes, genetics, and ecosystems, students will use their notebooks to connect new information to what they have already learned. Your generosity makes a meaningful difference by helping create an inclusive classroom where students can express their understanding, build confidence, and take ownership of their learning. These supplies ensure that students have the basic materials they need to participate fully in daily lessons, activities, and assessments. Instead of students worrying about whether they have a pencil or enough paper to complete an assignment, they can focus their attention on learning. The markers and folders also allow students to create, organize, and preserve projects and interactive learning activities that bring history to life. Our first project using these supplies was a personal timeline in which students shared meaningful events that have occurred throughout their life. \r\n\r\nThe turn-in baskets and folders have also helped create a more organized and efficient classroom environment. Students have clear places to store and submit their work, making it easier to keep track of assignments and stay organized. Having these supplies readily available supports a classroom where students can collaborate, create, and engage with historical content without being limited by a lack of resources. Most importantly, this donation sends students the message that their education matters and that their classroom is a place where they are supported and prepared to succeed.","fullyFundedDate":1778108479453,"projectUrl":"project/drawing-history/10244736/","projectTitle":"Drawing History!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rosser","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9713855_orig.jpg?crop=761,761,x0,y136&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1724892373417","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9713855"},{"teacherId":7811218,"projectId":9934646,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for supporting our \"Add-on Extension: Plants Mini-Unit.\" Your generosity has made a meaningful impact on my students' learning experience. With these new materials and technology, students are now able to explore plant biology in a much more interactive and engaging way. Instead of only reading about concepts like photosynthesis, plant structure, and growth, students are actively observing, recording, and analyzing real data. The technology has helped bring these abstract concepts to life, allowing students to make deeper connections and truly understand how plants function in the real world.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most exciting is seeing students take ownership of their learning. The hands-on experiences and new tools have sparked curiosity and increased participation across the classroom. Students are asking more questions, collaborating with one another, and showing a genuine interest in scientific exploration. For many of them, this has been their first time using this type of technology in a science setting, and it has made learning feel more relevant and exciting.\r\n\r\nI've also seen particular growth in students who don't always feel confident in science. These tools have given them new ways to engage and succeed, whether through observation, discussion, or hands-on investigation. Students who were once hesitant are now actively participating and contributing to group work. Your support has not only enhanced our curriculum but has also helped build confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning in my classroom.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in my students and their future.","fullyFundedDate":1766872680708,"projectUrl":"project/add-on-extension-plants-mini-unit/9934646/","projectTitle":"Add-on Extension: Plants Mini-Unit","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Varela","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7811218"},{"teacherId":6899736,"projectId":10066003,"letterContent":"I am with my students right now and they are really excited about the rice krispy treats.
