These 5 guitars, along with a few acoustic guitar essentials, will give us the basics to getting a guitar club started at our school. As the facilitator, I will provide those students who already have a background in playing an opportunity to showcase their skills to peers and experience the joy and confidence that performing in front of others can bring. I will also provide mini lessons to beginning students in topics such as basic chord formations, tuning and stringing guitars, and reading guitar tablature so that they can learn to play the songs that they love! My hope is that this club will provide them with a setting to make positive connections with their peers, take ownership of their school, and discover the many benefits of having a musical outlet.
