By identifying emotions through books and writing we are setting the students up for success. The new setup allows students to independently choose books that match their interests, which has dramatically boosted their enthusiasm for reading. Even my most reluctant readers are now excited to curl up in the corner with a book.\r\n\r\nNow that the students are deeply engaged with the new space, we are ready for the next step. We are launching a \"Partner Reading\" activity, where students will select books together from the corner to practice reading aloud and sharing stories with their classmates.
