My goal is for my students to feel safe, valued, encouraged, and excited to learn. They are more likely to raise their hands, attempt a new word, answer a question, participate with a partner, and keep trying even when they make mistakes. Those moments are incredibly important for language development.\r\n\r\nI have also been able to use the incentives to encourage positive classroom behaviors and teamwork. Students learn that being a good classmate, helping others, listening carefully, and participating respectfully are all important parts of being a successful learner. The rewards provide an opportunity to reinforce these behaviors in a positive and encouraging way.\r\n\r\nMost importantly, your generosity has helped me build stronger relationships with my students. The headphones allow students to work independently and without distractions, giving them the confidence to practice reading, phonics, and language skills at their own pace. For many of my students—especially those still developing English or foundational reading skills—this kind of personalized support is incredibly powerful.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most is that the technology \"talks back\" to them. They love seeing their progress, earning encouragement from the program, and feeling like their reading really matters. The built-in microphones make it possible for students to clearly communicate with the program, which helps reduce frustration and keeps them engaged longer. The headphones also create a quieter, more focused learning environment, allowing every student to feel successful during independent work time.\r\n\r\nSeveral of my students who were previously hesitant to read aloud have especially benefited from this technology.
