As a first year teacher, I want to make sure that my classroom is "home" to every child. I want them to walk into an environment that meets all their needs to ensure they learn and reach their goals. Most people at their houses have utilities that create that home environment. Things like rugs can make a huge difference to many students. A rug in the classroom allows students to move around the classroom during assignments or reading instruction. A pencil sharpener allows students to be prepared to learn. Paper will allow me to print notes and assignments for students throughout the year. Imagine a classroom with no rug, pencil sharpener, or paper. Let's be the change for tomorrow!
