They will learn color theory by mixing primary colors and making new fun colors to use as well. The Sharpies make the posters bright and colorful. with clean black edging that pops our messages! Our students love the graphic novels. They have shared that it is a fun/cool way to learn and review the science standards. I have had the opportunity to create reading analysis/note taking activities that reinforce organization and content vocabulary. \r\n\r\nI have only used them with 5th grade so far, but the other grades have been hearing about them and want to read them too!! The graphics provide real world applications of the science content - especially for those concepts that aren't easy to visualize or recreate in person (adaptations, ecosystems, food chains). We use them in centers, with the students working with a partner to read and complete the activity.
