We are a charter public school and funds are low when it comes to extras in our classroom.\r\n\r\nYou generous donation put some of the biggest smiles on my scholars faces as they were able to have books that they enjoy reading, books that have characters that look like them and books that they can read over and over again. The impact was enormous due to them being able to share their reading with their buddie class. To have enjoyable reading materials that they can relate to and get excited about reading is amazing. \r\n\r\nI had boys reading more than the girls with the graphic novels, making the noises and acting out some of the parts of the book. The little whiteboards have been a tremendous addition to our learning environment. We use them every day in our ELA class. I work with children who are less fortunate and were unable to have the school supplies that they needed to have a successful school year. They were able to have snacks in the class and some were able to take some home to eat because of late dinners or no dinner at all.
