My 4th graders have been very excited to use them and ask every if we are going to be using them.\r\nSo far we have looked at rain water and retention pond water and compared them under the microscope. They were very excited to see tiny organisms swimming in the water from the retention pond. Your gifts helped my classroom complete our sets of xylophones and ukuleles! Previous to this project, my classroom only had 15 soprano ukuleles, so some of my students had to play larger ukuleles which really didn't work well for their small hands. Now all of my students can play the same size which has made a huge difference! Similarly, I previously had 15 xylophones that I utilized mostly for my younger students. They had to share and take turns, which was difficult with only 40 minutes of class time each week. We just began a xylophone unit in first grade and kindergarten and I am pleased to share all of my students can play Hot Cross Buns after their first week! \r\n\r\nMy fourth and fifth graders will be focusing on ukulele in the next few weeks and they are so excited! \r\n\r\nThank you again for your kindness and generosity. It has been very useful in the classroom during class discussions and student participation in class. The students love the white board feature to work out math problems on because it is easy to erase and rework problems. They are all very excited to get to come up and show their work and we can correct mistakes as a group. We are currently working with fractions so that has been a very useful feature.\r\n\r\nI have also been using it a lot during our English Language Arts block to have the students fill in graphic organizers. This is very useful with the high student population of English Language Learners we have in 4th grade. I can now reach all the students easier in making sure they are following along.
