We collected over 250 signatures pledging to reduce, repair, reuse and recycle whenever possible. We have witnessed a reduction of these harmful plastics in our beautiful school. Our students learned to take action in conserving the environment in our community. The campaign encouraged ALL of our community to make greener choices when it comes single-use plastics. \r\nThe cherry on top was the AP Environmental Science students got involved in the project. We have also are experiencing a cleaner campus and less trash being produced. Overall, this campaign helped our high school reduced waste, and teach our students green habits. We use the journaling supplies to reflect on chemistry lessons, write about our thinking, and manage stress before labs or quizzes. The puzzles and coloring books are used during short brain breaks, helping students relax while still engaging their minds. Many of my students shared that journaling helped them feel more focused and confident during class and that it was actually relaxing.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, they were excited and ready to use them. These resources are now part of our daily routine and help students stay regulated and ready to learn.
