All my students are from the inner city of Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. Many of my students are very comical. They like telling jokes and often get off topic. It is essential for me as a teacher to keep them engage as they tend to get distracted very easily. 98% of my students are Mexican American. They are very proud of their Mexican Heritage and sometimes struggle with balancing both the Mexican and American identities. They are very caring and helpful with each other and will encourage each other to focus on school. My school is made up of an awesome group of teachers that really go out of their way to provide students with the education they deserve. Many of my students are going through emotional and mental struggles at home. Our school strives to be a safe place for students that allows them to focus on the opportunity of education.
