The wiggle bands on the chairs have been impactful for the kids. They like that they can move their feet while they are working and it is a way for the to add movement without adding distraction to others. The new chairs have been a great addition to our classroom as they allow the kids to make a daily choice about the type of seat that will be best for them. \r\n\r\nWhen I had the new seats, wiggle bands and seat sacks in our room the kids were excited and wanted to try them out! We talked about how to use the materials so that we could be successful and they could see the benefits to the additions to our classroom. They like to be able to tell others coming into our classroom about our new items and how they use them! The options have allowed them to lead how and where they will learn and work in the classroom. \r\n\r\nI am always proud when my students take ownership of what we have in our classroom and how we can work as a collaborative team. These new materials have allowed my students to continue to make choices that are best of them while also sharing the use of our new items. I know these resources will continue to benefit my current students, and my future students will benefit from your generosity as well!","fullyFundedDate":1755736305166,"projectUrl":"project/flexible-seating-for-flexible-learners/9479336/","projectTitle":"Flexible Seating for Flexible Learners!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Westenberger","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5525190_orig.jpg?crop=1951,1951,x0,y45&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1597161736254","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-westenberger"},{"teacherId":6287532,"projectId":9295813,"letterContent":"What a whirlwind! After my project was fully funded, within a week I had received all five of my wiggle stools - quick turnaround! The first box arrived as I was finishing up with a group of my Kindergarten students. When the box arrived in the room the looks on the student's faces were priceless; they were SO curious as to what was in the box?! We made an \"unboxing\" video together (it's all the rage among the kids these days), and their excitement as they learned what WAS in the box was contagious! They were smiling and laughing and couldn't wait to try them out. There were two students attempting to sit on one stool at the same time! To say they were pumped was an understatement.\r\nAfter all five stools arrived, we reviewed the expectations for use of our new gifts. We discussed the importance of treating our gifts with respect and care so that they can be used for many years to come. We also discussed the purpose of the stools to allow our bodies to move so that our brains could focus on our work. The students agreed they would be useful tools moving forward.\r\nEach day, students now have the option to use a traditional stationary stool or a wiggle stool when we work together, and by FAR many more students are opting to use the wiggle stools. As our school year is coming to a close, the excitement and anticipation of summer is widespread, making it a little (and sometimes a LOT) more difficult for students to remain focused and attentive to our lessons. However, with the use of these stools, my students have been able to move about while still maintaining the ability to learn, even as the days to the school year tick down. I'm very impressed at what a big impact this gift has had already. I can't thank you all enough for your generosity and kindness.","fullyFundedDate":1746478973568,"projectUrl":"project/wiggle-your-words-out/9295813/","projectTitle":"Wiggle Your Words Out!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. VanAsten","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6287532"},{"teacherId":9002966,"projectId":9107802,"letterContent":"My elementary EL students love the new tool we received.
