From the moment the materials arrived, students were eager, engaged, and full of enthusiasm. There excitement was contagious, and it was clear this project made learning feel meaningful and fun!\r\n\r\nOne of the highlights was the Reading Challenge which encouraged students to \"read like a champion\" while increasing their reading comprehension and fluency. It was very rewarding to see students reading in and out the classroom. One parent even commented how much she appreciated the competition because it inspired her son to read even when that's not his preferred activity. Moments like that show just how impactful this experience has been.\r\n\r\nBeyond academics, this project also helped students develop important life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship, and an appreciation for different cultures. Your support helped create an engaging experience that students will remember for a long time. As they earned points, they excitedly went to the concession stand to purchase their items. So, not only were students reviewing reading skills, but they were also using their math and problem-solving skills to purchase the items. Did they have enough tickets? How many more tickets were needed to purchase the prize they wanted?
